We are currently looking for a Python developer for a long term project in Amsterdam area.
The initial contract will run for 3 months, with option of extension.
This vacancy has come available to offset attrition in the current team as a result of tenure limits of
the current contractors. You will work in a team 15 people. The purpose of this position is to
maintain and extend the automated software testing framework in support of the integration and
acceptance testing of Cable Modem CPE SW releases. This is a SW development project mainly written in Python. Responsible for developing and implementing framework libraries to support test
automation scripts and validating execution reliability Responsible for issue resolution, related to
framework library quality Code review and quality assurance of code commits by team members
Extensive cooperation with (internal and external) technology suppliers during integration, triaging
and resolving issues associated with the development, maintenance and use of the automated test
suite As required, support the definition, installation, and maintenance of test equipment and
systems.
Job requirements
Four or more years direct experience with:
1. Python software development (domain knowledge)
Experience in working on an automation framework is highly appreciated
Exposure to agile software development methodologies
Experience with GIT / GERRIT
2. DOCSIS Cable Modem CPE’s (domain knowledge)
Experience with DOCSIS and Gateways
Experience with WiFi
Experience with VOIP
3. Network configurations (corollary domain knowledge)
CCNA Routing and Switching
4. Software integration and testing (domain knowledge)
ISTQB® Certified tester certification
ISTQB® Test Analyst certification is highly appreciated
