Senior PEGA Developer Lead

For our client in banking we are looking for a candidate ready to work in Amsterdam. The initial contract would run for 9 months with the intention of permanent employment afterward.

Scope

We are looking for Senior Pega Developer Lead whose main focus would be to increase the craftsmanship of team members, ensuring proper knowledge sharing, standard-setting, and issue remediation. Lead who would also follow individually team members to accompany them in their careers and help them grow.

You will spend 50% of your time with team management tasks and activities while the other 50% you will spend on hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Take part to User Story refinement;
• Participate in Design of the solution (specifically for the ECS);
• Build application as close as possible to Pega out-of-the-box features;
• Create or modify Unit Tests when necessary along with the implementation of new functionalities;
• Participate in manual testing activities when required;
• Pro-actively monitor application quality;
• Ensure that logs do not display unwanted messages and errors;
• Participate in the Peer Review process;
• Fix incident and problems when necessary;
• Coach individual IT team members on agile/CI- mindset and –behavior, on expertise related skills and knowledge sharing;
• Identify and stimulate the processing of organizational improvement opportunities;
• Perform the PCB (Planning, Coaching, Beoordeling/Appraisal) cycle with all internal IT team members;
• Discuss IT team progress in skills development and future demand;
• Allocate IT team members to relevant Squads;
• Propagate IT vision and strategy to IT Chapter members to align goals;
• Ensure the application of expertise specific standards (DoD);

Knowledge and skill requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in Pega as a Developer/Engineer/Architect;
• Pega SSA certification minimum;
• Pega LSA Certification;
•  Agile team experience with SCRUM or Kanban or XP;
• 2 years of management experience;
• Management 3.0 knowledge;
